Danny is the General Manager at Kent icon, the Romney Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, a miniature heritage railway that is one of Kent’s top attractions. Danny started his career in transport with roles at British Rail, National Rail, Heathrow Express and Connex South Eastern, before becoming General Manager at Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway after 20 years as a volunteer in his spare time!

Management and team motivation have been important in Danny’s career, and he has developed a range of skills in finance, safety management, marketing and catering. However, it is customer service which Danny highlights as his most important skill, as the lifeblood of the tourism industry.
Career Highlights:
Over the years Danny has had the chance to meet the late Queen Elizabeth II, open the brand-new restaurant at the Dungeness station, and even complete his training as a steam locomotive driver!
